The Design Studio is located at “Almont Yard,” a design community on West Hollywood’s Almont Drive consisting of Nathan Turner Antiques, Claremont Furnishing Fabrics Co., Peter Dunham’s Hollywood At Home showroom and Harbinger.
Joe and Parrish opened “Harbinger”, their retail shop in July 2008. It is a jewel box of a shop that injects cutting edge cool into a classic cottage environment. Harbinger showcases trend-resistant finds like slipper chairs, pedestal tables, gilded frames and throw pillow s and gives them just enough of a twist with graphic fabrics and unexpected touches to transform them from granny to fabulous. Harbinger was expanded in July 2009 to include a new showroom to the trade representing an array of chic fabrics and wallpapers from designers throughout the United States, Milan and London, as well as some new reproduction furniture pieces from the Harbinger collection.
Lucas Studio, Inc. & Harbinger have been featured in Traditional Home, Elle Décor, Veranda, Luxe Magazine, the LA Times, Angeleno, Angeleno Interiors, Wired, Design NJ, and several ‘green’ publications, including the book “Dreaming Green” for their work on the David Hertz property and the Wired Living Home Showcase House.
Joe and Parrish were honored to be part of Veranda Magazine’s first California Show House “The Great House at Historic Greystone Estate” in November 2008 and the “Stately Homes by the Sea” Show House in Rumson, NJ in May 2009.
